In the science festival the students were in charge of teaching third grades from high tech elementary a lesson about any topic involving science. We had to create a workshop including the four E's. Engage, Explore, Explain, Evaluate. We had to pick our own partner in the class Mr. Ted recommended us not to pair up with our friends for the sake of the work time we had. We could pick whatever science topic we wanted, it had to be understandable for children while challenging for us.
The topic Cesar and I chose was solar energy. Cesar and I worked really well together and decided on our topic very fast. We decided to pick that one because both of us knew about it but we wanted to learn more. From what I knew about it it stood out to me and found it amazing so I wanted third graders to know that too. We chose solar energy because since the beginning we had some ideas of how we were gonna do our lesson to the third graders.
