A time I showed perservernace was when we were writing our story. The first month of writing our story was great we had a lot of progress and we knew where our story was going. I would say the obstacles started occurring in the second month especially these past few weeks, they have been really stressful because there were some parts our story did not make sense and needed critique. I didn’t realize that there was going to be so many steps involved, the amount of critique we got was a total of 8 and after that we needed to apply the critique and refine. You might be thinking well it’s a story for a little kid why does it need to be so perfect? Well we wanted to make it to the best of our abilities because the books that children read are the things that they act upon.
A habit that was a challenging for me was being mindful. When we went to visit our little buddy we had to be very careful of what we said because we have to keep in mind that they are not in a safe situation. It is also a struggle to keep in mind that what we say can potentially hurt their feelings, although sometimes they don’t understand what we say because they still don’t fully know about what they are going through. There are just little things we have to be aware of when we go and visit them for example what we wear because we don’t want it to be too distracting and over the top because then they will just compare.

time we met
A habit that was a strength was cooperation. In the beginning Ms.Sara and Mr.Ted assigned us a group most people were assigned with one other person but for me in my group we were three. When I first heard that I was put in a group of three I was nervous because I thought that not each member was going to put the same amount of work. I felt like one member was capable of taking advantage and not contribute. I also was anxious since a lot of the other groups were of two people we wouldn’t have anything for the third person to do. We figured out plan as a group so everyone would get credit for the project. I worked on the writing the story, my partner Ian worked on the vector file, and my other partner Nazaret worked on all the illustrations for the book.
A cooperative moment I remember was when my partener Ian covered for my other partner Nazaret. That day was one of the days that we had to go to the monarch school but Mr.Ted and Ms.Sara seperate us into two groups and that day Nazaret wasn't there and Ian had noticed that and volunteered to go so our little buddy wouldn be left with no buddy.
I remember a specific time where my little buddy asked my partner Ian if she could have his necklace and once she said that we turned to eachother and just acted like nothing had happened and countinued, but she kept on asking and she was begging at this point, it was somrthing that she didn't let go and the next time we came she asked for it. This goes off of what I stated before of being careful of what we wear because then the students might want to keep it.
