Description of Transitions 1.In the beginning we had a lever with a car in the center and once we push it the car would hit the metal marble.
Energy involved GPE & Kinetic Energy
Description of transition 2.There is a cardboard ramp and it would go through the ramp keep in mind that these are the only two things that are on the table
Energy Involved GPE & Kinetic Energy
Description of Transition 3.We stacked a couple books on a chair then put the book right up against the table so after the cardboard ramp it would go across the book
Energy involved GPE & Kinetic Energy
Description of Transition 4.Then the book would be attached to this cardboard piece that would have Popsicle stick pieces so the ball wouldn’t go directly down but it would stop and hit the Popsicle stick pieces
Energy involved Magnetic Energy
Description of Transition 5.At the end of the cardboard piece it was on another chair so on that same chair there was a binder so it would help with the incline so the ball would roll off the binder
Energy Involved GPE & Kinetic Energy
Description of Transition 6.Then the marble would go down a paper tube that was hanging off of the chair and landed on the floor
Energy Involved GPE & Kinetic Energy
Description of Transition 7.After that the ball would fall into the Dixie cup
Energy Involved GPE
Description of Transition 8.The cup would have an opening so the marble would come out and would hit a car
Energy Involved Kinetic Energy
Description of Transition 9.After that the car would hit a stack of standing books so like a domino effect
Energy Involved GPE & Kinetic Energy
Description of Transition 10.The marble would be triggered at the end of the books and roll into a cup

Reflection
Self Reflection:What would you do differently to make it more successful?
Something my partner and I could’ve done to make it more successful was to make it shorter, so like a machine that wouldn’t take up so much space. I feel like this would work so much better because using so much space felt like we weren’t getting anywhere because I always felt like we had to add something else.
Communication:How would you have liked to communicate with your partner?
I wish my partner and I could always agree with our ideas instead of putting it aside and not even trying it. This didn’t happen that often but it did happen to the point where it was a noticeable problem.
Cooperation:Explain how you and your partner contributed?
I feel like my partner and I did contribute because both of us had eachothers ideas in the machine so like it wasn’t just one partner's idea that made the whole machine. I’m very glad I got a partner like Ariel because I have never worked with her before and I never knew how creative she was because we've never worked together in the past. One example was when one idea didn’t work she would always come up with a new idea or tr to fix it.
Efficiency: How would you rate yourself in using the time in class effectively and to your potential? How would you like to improve?
I wouldn't rate myself high because I am the type of person that is very social and I would catch myself at times ignoring my work and going to other groups and just socialize with my friends. At other times my partner would simply have no ideas and we wouldn’t get any new transitions out machine.
Mindfulness:Explain when you noticed you were really focused and getting transitions to work. Why were you so focused? What makes you unfocused?
An example of when my partner and I were focused was when we put the magnet and the two marbles,it was a cool feeling because a simple idea that we had low hopes on actually worked. I maintain my focus when something works because I get more motivated to finish. I lose my focus because as I said before I have friends and I tend to socialize with them and leave all the work for my partner.
Perseverance:When did you keep moving forward? what would help you persevere when things get challenging?
One moment in specific where I didn’t give up was when machine would fall apart and it happened more often than you think most of the times was because of me and my clumsiness. It was pretty hard for it to maintain right because if you moved it the slightest everything is attached to each other so if one thing moves the whole machine moves same thing goes for falling. Something that helps me keep moving forward is my partner Ariel because if something didn’t work I don’t know where it would come from but she always had a way to fix it so it would work or she would have a completely new idea to replace the old one.
Growth Mindset:How did you show you had a growth mindset?
I showed I had a growth mindset when we had when we had no marbles to work with, that was one of the most frustrating moments because other people would take more than what they were given and there was none left for us.This was a problem because without the marbles we wouldn’t know if our machine would work.I persevered through this because we just moves this issue aside and had a positive mindset and left other people take as much as they needed.
Final product of our machine
