Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego Piece
For the Chula Vista Zine Fest Project (CVZF) we had the opportunity to collaborate with a local and well known museum here in San Diego called the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD). The main person in contact we had from the museum was Luisa, an employee from MCASD. Luisa was of great help to our team because she was the one that made us have our work displayed in the museum. She also helped a lot when it came to critiquing our work to make it look professional for the museum.
Since the beginning my group had a idea of using a stencil to spray paint our message because we like how it looked aesthetically. That idea stuck through and that is what we did for our final product. In total we had 3 drafts before working on the final piece, it took us about 2 days to have the final piece completely done. The materials we used were hanging clips, squared mirror tiles, wooden board to hold everything together, black and red spray paint, and two wooden stencils one for the big text and another for the small text, all materials were brought in by each member in the group.
