I really enjoyed getting to hear my mentor’s journey and steps he took to be where he is now. His words really inspired me and motivated me to do well in school to have good outcomes after high school. I think the mentor interview was one of the highlights from my internship because it was a time that I had to learn more about my mentor before he was in the position he is now. I believe the mentor interview got me to see a different side of Glen because I got to know some of the things he encountered before becoming the City Attorney. Something that he said that caught my attention was that when he was my age he wasn’t sure what he didn’t know what career choice he wanted. When I asked about his favorite part of his day I thought it was kind that he said that assisting others and helping them find solutions to their problems was what he liked the most. When I asked him about his career choice and how he made that decision I could relate to it because he mentioned a college professor inspired him. I could relate to this comment because I also feel the same that a teacher made a class enjoyable that it motivated me to pursue something revolving in law. As a whole Glen really inspired me to continue with my desire to be a law student because seeing how successful and happy he was made me feel sure about my choices.
